The Gilder Lehrman Institute for American History is awarding several short-term research fellowships of $3,000 to doctoral candidates, postdoctoral scholars, college and university faculty at every rank, and independent scholars working in the field of American history.

OutHistory suggests: apply for a fellowship to research an original, feature to be published on this major public history site. If you get the fellowship you can receive research advice from the site’s scholars, and OutHistory will publish your work.

The deadline to apply for this fellowship is Friday, May 15th, 2015. We encourage our readers to take advantage of this opportunity and we look forward to seeing your work on our site! You can learn more about requirements and submission materials here.
